The lead-in conductors are bound inside the jacket, so there is no twisting. The loop and lead-in fit the same 3\/16 in groove, so the lead-in run does not need a second, wider cut. In a 3\/16 in groove the jacket takes the place of backer rod, and BD Loops states it uses 30 to 40% less sealant than a 1\/4 in groove. Each loop is tested 3 ways at the factory. Make the cut the same size or slightly smaller, never larger. Up to 2 ft of loop can be pulled into the lead-in slot, which shrinks the perimeter by up to 4 ft.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe 50 ft lead-in must reach the loop detector without a splice. Measure the run first.
