Description
The Carefree 1277 is a fully sealed standalone access keypad that mounts to a single-gang box using the supplied zinc die-cast extension box. It can also be mounted on a pedestal or bolted to a wall. The keypad stores a single code or up to 1,000 personal codes, and automatic voltage sensing runs it on 10 to 30 V AC or DC, drawing 100 mA active and 10 mA standby at 12 VDC.
Carefree's data sheet lists one Form C relay rated 5 A at 28 VDC, with toggle mode to hold a gate or door open, and a normally open remote exit input. The tactile polymer keypad has audible feedback and an anodized aluminum faceplate. Codes are kept through a power failure, and lightning and surge protection is built in.
