All-O-Matic SW-300 Manuals & Support

All-O-Matic SW-300

The All-O-Matic SW-300 is a swing gate operator for gates up to 20 ft. The SW-300 DC PRO is a 1/2 HP, 24 VDC brushless model for gates up to 1,200 lb, with two 7 Ah backup batteries for up to 250 cycles.

The SW-300 AC is a 1/2 HP, 115 VAC model for gates up to 800 lb. Both have a 60:1 gearbox, a torque limiter on the main sprocket, an access door and a quick release arm.

Identify your model

The model and serial number are on the label inside the control box. DC PRO units have the ALL-BLDC PRO board with an LCD display. Earlier DC units have an LED-only board; use the earlier board manual below for those.

Troubleshooting

The ALL-BLDC PRO control board has an LCD and input LEDs. Note which LEDs are on before you change any settings.

Gate does not run and the ALARM LED is on

  • The gate hit an obstruction twice before it reached full close, and the operator shut down.
  • Press the red RESET button next to the radio connector, then check that the gate is not bound up or jammed.
  • Retest the ERD (obstruction) sensitivity after you clear the cause.

Gate does not run

  • STOP LED on: the STOP input is open. It is a normally closed input, so check the device or the jumper.
  • MON_FAULT LED on: a monitored photo eye or edge is missing or faulty. The gate then runs only on constant pressure.

Opening or closing LED is on but the gate does not move

  • If the AC PWR LED blinks, replace the fuse at the bottom right of the board.
  • Check that the gate moves freely and the limits are set correctly.
  • Check that the motor harness is plugged in tight with no loose wires.

MODE LED blinks

  • 1 blink every 2 seconds: motor sensor feedback problem. Check the motor harness.
  • 2 blinks: motor overload.
  • 3 blinks: the gate is jammed.

No power or slow gate

  • AC PWR_ON LED off: check main power, the AC power switch and the 10 A fuse on the EMI board. If the fuse blows again, check the bridge rectifier.
  • Gate runs slow: set the variable speed to 100%, then relearn the soft stop. Put the gate on the closed limit, press and release RESET, and run one full cycle without stopping.

AC models

  • The AC board shows MON-FAULT when the firmware does not match the monitored devices. Press RESET and count the blinks.
  • If the ERD keeps tripping, check the gate swings freely, then check the ERD jumper above MOTOR 2.

Common questions

UL 325 (2018) boards need monitored entrapment devices for the open and close directions. If a device is missing or faulty, the MON_FAULT LED lights and the gate runs only on constant pressure. Wire monitored photo eyes or edges, then press RESET.

Use the quick release on the arm to free the gate from the operator. Reconnect the arm before you run the gate.

It uses two 12 V, 7 Ah batteries in the control box. Check battery voltage on the LCD, and replace both batteries together when they no longer hold a charge.

The operator shuts down after two obstructions before full close. Clear the obstruction, then press the RESET button next to the radio connector.
