DoorKing 1800-080, 1800-081, 1801-080

DKS cellular units connect DoorKing telephone entry systems to DoorKing's cellular service on the AT&T 4G LTE network, so no phone line or internet line is needed. A monthly DKS plan is required.

The 1800-080 carries voice and data for the 1830 series and standard 1800 series systems. The 1800-081 is the Access Plus version, and the 1801-080 is voice only.

Troubleshooting

No voice or data

  • Check that the unit is registered on the DKS cellular server with its SIM ID and the plan is active.
  • Check the wiring to the entry system phone line and RS-232 terminals.

Weak signal

  • Mount the unit in shade, as high as practical and away from metal.
  • The optional 1514-014 long range antenna helps in weak signal areas.

Unit overheats

  • DoorKing removed the module cover to cut heat. Mount it under a canopy or awning out of direct sun.
