DoorKing Plug-In Loop Detectors Manuals & Support

DoorKing 9409, 9410, 9411

DoorKing plug-in loop detectors fit the loop ports on DoorKing operator boards, so only the loop lead-in needs wiring. They self-tune to track loop drift and weather.

The 9410 is single channel, the 9409 dual channel, and the 9411 single channel with an auxiliary relay. The loop information manual covers loop sizes and installation.

Identify your model

Check the part number on the detector: 9409-010, 9410-010 or 9411-010. The 9416-010 is the low power version for solar operators. The older 9406 has its own manual.

Troubleshooting

Detector LED stays on

  • Press the reset button on the detector, or lower its sensitivity.
  • Check the loop wire to ground with a megohm meter. 100 megohms or more is good. Under 50 megohms, replace the loop.
  • Twist the lead-in at least 6 turns per foot and solder all splices.

Detector never activates

  • Check loop continuity. It should read near 0 ohms.
  • Raise the sensitivity.
  • Move the detector to the other loop port. If it works there, the board port is bad.

Detectors interfere

  • Set nearby loops to different frequencies.

Common questions

The 9410 for one loop, the 9409 for two loops, or the 9411 when you also need a relay output. Check your operator manual.

Motorcycles often lack the metal mass to trigger a loop. DoorKing warns they should not pass through barrier arm lanes.

Yes. The 9416-010 is the low power detector for solar operators.
