Description
The Security Brands Edge E2 SecurePass + Intercom 27-225 is a post-mount smart card reader with a built-in SecurePass CR1 (metal) proximity reader and an intercom station, for gate and door access control. It runs up to 2 gates or doors from 2 relays and is programmed with the internal programming pad or the Edge Smart Keypad app over Bluetooth. Input power is 12-24 VAC/DC, and a 12 VDC power supply is included.
The onboard reader uses one Wiegand channel, leaving 1 Wiegand input for an added keypad, reader, receiver, or vehicle tag reader. There are also 2 event inputs and 2 digital inputs. It accepts SBI Flex 64-bit and standard 26-bit Wiegand protocols. Limited-use codes can be capped by number of uses or by 7-day or 365-day schedules. Each of the 2 relays has its own 7-day/365-day timer, holiday timer, and special-event timer. The app pulls event reports with CSV export and loads firmware updates. Anti-passback, alarm shunt, and random code generation are built in. Stainless-steel faceplate, powder-coated steel enclosure. Two-year limited warranty.

Before You Order
- Mounts to a pedestal with the included carriage bolts. Pedestal sold separately.
- Power: 12-24 VAC/DC input. Current draw is under 111 mA at 12 VDC and under 60 mA at 24 VDC. If you use your own supply, do not exceed 24 VAC/DC.
- Relay contacts are rated 10 A at 120 VAC / 24 VDC for triggering a gate operator or door opener.
- The intercom station wires to a separate intercom base station, not included. See the Security Brands wiring guide for the Edge 27-2X5 to base station.
- Credentials sold separately: SecurePass 40-C cards or 40-F fobs.
- Programming uses the Edge Smart Keypad app (Apple and Android) over Bluetooth. Security Brands publishes a list of supported Android devices.

Our return policy lasts for only 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund. Some items such as Gate Operators or custom parts may not be returnable or carry a restocking fee if returned.
