Description
Discontinued by HySecurity. The Hy5B 2.0 (MX4621) is the updated version. The HySecurity HY-5A (MX000041) is a plug-in inductive loop vehicle detector for HySecurity Smart Touch and Smart DC controllers. Power draw is under 5 mA. Size is 1-3/4 x 3-1/4 in.
The HY-5A plugs into one of four detector sockets on the controller board: free exit, inside obstruction, outside obstruction or center loop. Sensitivity is set with a dial: settings 0-3 include boost, 4-7 do not, and the factory default is 1. The controller stores the vacant loop frequency, so the detector can sense a vehicle at power-up, and it logs loop faults for diagnostics.
Before You Order
- HY-5A orders and warranty replacements are filled with the MX4621 Hy5B 2.0 detector.
- The Hy5B plugs into the same socket and runs in Hy5A emulation mode with no software update. Smart DC software 5.55 or higher or Smart Touch software 4.54 or higher unlocks full Hy5B features.
- HY-5A operators listed by HySecurity: SlideDriver, StrongArm, SwingRiser, HydraLift, HydraSwing, StrongArm M30 and M50, SwingSmart DC, SlideSmart DC and StrongArmPark DC.
- Loop plus lead-in resistance should be 4.0 ohms or less, and resistance to earth ground 100 megohms or more.
