Description
BD Loops BD-LS Loop Shield is a one-part, moisture-curing, self-leveling MS polymer hybrid sealant in gray. It seals inductance loop wire in saw-cut grooves in concrete, asphalt, and other surfaces. Sold per 30 fl oz rigid plastic tube.
BD-LS is 100% solids with no solvents, so it does not shrink or dip after it cures. It goes on damp or dry surfaces and does not bubble when exposed to water. The cured seal stays flexible as the joint expands and contracts. It is UV and weather resistant, paintable, and resists yellowing. Skin-over time is about 45 minutes at 70°F and 50% relative humidity, and strength keeps building for 7 days. Traffic can cross right away if the groove is left slightly underfilled. VOC and California Prop 65 compliant. Made in the USA.

Before You Order
- Coverage per tube: about 20 ft in a 3/16 in x 1-1/4 in deep groove, 16 ft at 1-1/2 in deep. In a 1/4 in wide groove, about 15 ft at 1-1/4 in deep and 12 ft at 1-1/2 in deep.
- A 3/16 in blade and BD Loops 3/16 in preformed saw-cut loops use about 25% less sealant than a 1/4 in cut. Order one extra tube rather than run short on the job.
- Fill the groove in one pass from the bottom up with the flat tip.
- Not for freezing conditions. Minimum application temperature is 32°F, and cure slows as it gets colder. For cold-weather work, see the BD-LG2 two-part sealant.
- Uses a 30 fl oz caulk gun. BD Loops offers the BD-LS-GUN dripless gun.
- Also available in black.
