Nice Apollo Titan 912L Actuator Manuals & Support

Nice Apollo 912L

The Nice Apollo Titan 912L is a 12 VDC linear actuator for residential, farm and ranch swing gates up to 20 ft and 600 lb. It is sold alone or in TITAN12L1 kits with the 1050 control board, for AC or solar power.

It has a keyed manual release, limit adjustment under a locking cover and a modular design, so the motor, limit assembly and screw drive can be replaced in the field. It bolts to existing 816 and 416 mounting hardware.

Identify your model

912L has a 12 ft harness and 912LX has a 42 ft harness. The -1 and -2 kits add mounting hardware. T12L1-AC-KIT and T12L1-SLR-KIT are complete kits with the CBOX1050 control box.

The 816 is the earlier actuator for 1500 series systems. See the 816 support page.

Troubleshooting

The 1050 control board shows messages on its LCD. These are the common ones.

Dynamic M1, Static M1 or Overload

  • The actuator tripped the built-in current sensor or drew too much current.
  • Check for an obstruction in the gate path and for worn or binding gate hardware.

Hard Shut Down

  • The current sensor tripped twice in a row.
  • Clear the cause, then press the Reset or Hard Shut Down button to run again.

Photo Test FAIL, BlueBus Error or Min 1 Sensor for Swing Gate

  • Check that the photo eyes are connected, aligned and set with the correct jumpers.
  • A swing gate needs at least one external entrapment sensor connected and programmed.
  • If the number or type of BlueBUS sensors changed, redo the learn procedure.

Input STOP or Device Error

  • Input STOP: the STOP input is not connected to GND. Install the jumper or check the stop button wiring.
  • Device Error: check the position sensor wiring for each actuator, and make sure no input is active during the learn.

Common questions

Yes. It bolts to the existing 816 and 416 gate hardware. Run it on a 1050 or 936 control board.

Unlock the keyed manual release on the actuator and swing the gate. Lock it again before you run the gate.

The AC kit includes two 8 Ah batteries kept charged by a transformer. Solar kits need batteries sized to the site.

The 1050 board stops after two current sensor trips in a row. Clear the obstruction, then press the Reset or Hard Shut Down button.
