Description
BD Loops BD-LG2 is a two-part polyurethane detector loop sealant for saw-cut loops in asphalt and concrete. It comes in a 21 fl oz (600 ml) 1:1 dual cartridge, dark gray only, with a static mixer included. It cures in freezing temperatures, which makes it the BD Loops choice for winter loop work.
BD-LG2 is self-leveling and low viscosity, so it flows into the groove easily. It is 100% solids with no solvents and zero VOC, so it does not shrink as it cures. It does not react with asphalt or concrete, and it does not bubble, mushroom, or rise above the joint. The cured seal resists de-icing salts (including 50% potassium acetate), gasoline, hydraulic brake fluid, and motor oil. Traffic can cross right after application with no lane closure. The mixing tips are disposable, so there is no cleanup.

Before You Order
- Gel time in the slot: 120 min at 23°F, 45 min at 41°F, 15 min at 59°F, under 15 min above 59°F.
- Coverage per cartridge: about 18 ft in a 3/16 in x 1-1/4 in deep groove, 14 ft at 1-1/2 in deep. In a 1/4 in wide groove, about 13-1/2 ft at 1-1/4 in deep and 10-1/2 ft at 1-1/2 in deep.
- Requires a 600 ml dual cartridge gun. Choose the gun option or order the BD-LG2-GUN separately. A standard caulk gun will not work.
- Use a 3/16 in blade with BD Loops 3/16 in preformed saw-cut loops to get the most footage per cartridge.

- Curing: Cures in below-freezing temperatures; colder conditions take longer. Gel time is about 15 minutes at 60°F (16°C). For loop applications, tack free time is not critical for opening lanes to traffic if the saw cut slot is filled 1/8 in below the pavement or concrete surface. Keeping BD-LG2 warm (for example, in a truck cab with the heater on) shortens cure time in the saw cut slot.
- Surface Preparation: The substrate must be clean and dry (free of dust, water and ice) before installing BD-LG2. If the substrate is not dry or has a thin layer of ice, heat the surface with a torch or hot air gun to dry it.
- Storage: Store in a dry, cool, well-ventilated place. 2 year shelf life from date of manufacture.
- Packaging: 21 fl oz (600 mL) ratio pack tubes, dispensed with a manual gun dispenser. Dark gray color only.
