Description

RAI Products ProSeal 6006 is a two-component, pourable loop sealant for vehicle detector loop saw cuts in asphalt and concrete. Sold per 1 gallon can with 2 tubes of catalyst.

It encapsulates and insulates the loop wire and keeps out moisture and road debris. It is flexible, self-leveling and does not shrink. No pump or caulking gun is needed. Mix 1 to 2 tubes of catalyst into the can with a drill and paint mixer for about 30 seconds, until the color is even with no red streaks. Pour from the can and smooth into the slot with a V-shaped squeegee. The sealant is dark brown and the catalyst is dark red.

Works well!

Far better than using caulk. I could see there being an issue if installed on any kind of a grade or slope though. One of our loops had a 1 degree slope for drainage and it was tough to get it to stay in the cut. I’m sure there is a good way to elevate that though.
