Description
Discontinued by Optex. The OVS-02GT Virtual Loop 2.0 is the current Optex above-ground vehicle presence sensor for gates and barriers.
The Optex OVS-01GT is an above-ground vehicle presence sensor for gate, barrier arm and industrial door operators. It combines a 24 GHz microwave sensor with a 56 kHz ultrasonic sensor for close-range detection. Microwave detection reaches 6.5 to 18 ft in 8 programmable settings. Ultrasonic detection covers 2 to 3.3 ft. It runs on 12 to 24 VDC and draws up to 200 mA at 24 VDC with the heater on.
The sensor detects moving or stopped vehicles at 1.2 to 12.4 mph and has 5 human-cancellation levels to ignore foot traffic. It mounts 20 in above the road surface on a post near the operator, so no loop cutting or concrete work is needed. It wires straight to the operator with a relay output (30 VDC, 0.3 A, N.O./N.C. selectable) and has an N.O./N.C. input. Setup uses one-touch calibration and LED indicators. No separate loop detector or programmer is needed. Housing is rated IP65, with a built-in heater for -22 to 122°F operation.

- This model is discontinued. For new installs, look at the Optex OVS-02GT Virtual Loop 2.0 (up to 26 ft range, 12 to 24 VAC/VDC, 2 outputs).
- Power is 12 to 24 VDC only. Confirm your operator has a DC accessory supply.
- Mounting height is 20 in from the road surface to the bottom of the sensor.
