Description

The BD Loops Water-Tight Splice Kit is for repairing damaged lead-in wire or splicing on extra lead-in length on BD Loops preformed 3/16 in saw-cut loops. It uses direct burial rated, double-wall, adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing, layered to seal out water.

The layered shrink tubing and glue tape keep water off the splice to prevent corrosion and oxidation, the usual causes of field splice failures.

What's Included

  • (1) 6 in x 1/2 in adhesive-lined shrink tube
  • (1) 4 in x 1/2 in adhesive-lined shrink tube
  • (2) 3/16 in adhesive-lined shrink tubes
  • (3) pieces of glue tape

Before You Order

  • Splice the lead-in only. Never splice the loop itself.
  • If the loop is damaged, install a new preformed loop or wrap a new loop.
  • Sized for BD Loops 3/16 in saw-cut loop lead-in.
  • A heat gun is needed to shrink the tubing and is not included.

Sometimes making a splice is unavoidable, for those situations use BD Loops’ Splice Kit. The splice kit comes packed with direct burial rated double walled adhesive lined shrink tubing that is layered to make a durable watertight seal.
