Description
The BD Loops E-Z Detector Checker is a small test loop that fits in your hand. Connect it in place of the installed loop to check everything upstream of the loop: the detector module, the harness wiring, and the circuit board loop connection. It has no batteries; the operator powers it.
An LED lights when the detector is energizing the loop circuit, which confirms the detector and harness are sending power. Press the red button to simulate a vehicle on the loop and confirm the detector trips and the gate operator responds. The unit is housed in a tough PVC shell, and the clip leads store in the back. It can also help when setting open and close limits and swing timers.
Before You Order
- Does not test the loop in the ground. Use a megohmmeter such as the BD Loops BD-Megger to check the loop.
- Test the detector side first. If the checker works and the loop does not, the fault is in the loop or lead-in, not the detector.
- This step can save cutting in a new loop when the real problem is the detector or board.

Our return policy lasts for only 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund. Some items such as Gate Operators or custom parts may not be returnable or carry a restocking fee if returned.
