Description
The EMX PC-3 is a thru-beam modulated infrared photoeye for garage doors and rolling doors. It has a range of 30 ft for indoor or protected outdoor use and runs on 12-24 VAC or VDC.
When the beam is broken, the receiver closes its relay COM and NO contacts. The relay is supervised, so it gives an open signal on power loss. The receiver LED lights when the eyes are out of alignment or the beam is blocked. The thru-beam layout is not fooled by shiny surfaces, and the 24° detection angle eases alignment. Housings are black PVC, 4 x 2 x 1.5 in, with 18 in lead wires.
Before You Order
- The PC-3 is not watertight. Use it indoors or in a protected outdoor spot.
- Power: 12-24 VAC or VDC. Below 10 V or above 30 V performance drops.
- Works with any control board that accepts a dry contact on the safety input. Relay rated 1 A at 24 VDC or 120 VAC.
- Mounting brackets (IRB-BR, set of 2) are sold separately.
- EMX does not list the PC-3 as UL 325 monitored.

Our return policy lasts for only 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund. Some items such as Gate Operators or custom parts may not be returnable or carry a restocking fee if returned.
