EMX vehicle loop detectors, photoeyes and wireless edge links for gate operators, garage doors and drive-thru lanes. Popular picks include the MVP-D-TEK and ULT-MVP multi-voltage detectors, the HAR-11 harness, IRB-RET2 and IRB-MON2 photoeyes, and the WEL-200 Wireless Edge Link.
We also carry the LRS Loop Replacement System, Carsense probes, PR Lite preformed loops, drive-thru alert kits, and TRES and PATRIOT RFID readers and tags.
EMX sells two detector families. The ULT series comes in plug-in (ULT-PLG), DIN rail (ULT-DIN) and multi-voltage (ULT-MVP, ULT-MVP-2) formats. D-TEK models are chosen by supply: 12VDC, 24VAC, 110VAC, the low-power LP-D-TEK, and the MVP-D-TEK for anything from 12VDC to 240VAC. Box-style 11-pin units connect with the HAR-11 harness or LD-11 socket. When cutting pavement is not an option, the LRS Loop Replacement System and Carsense buried probes take the place of a saw-cut loop; Carsense 303 listings now point to the LRS. Compare brands in loop detectors.
The IRB-MON2 is a UL 325 thru-beam kit, the IRB-RET2 is the retroreflective model, and the IRB-4X2 is a thru-beam kit with hoods. These replace the IRB-MON, IRB-RET and IRB-4X. Mount them on a 325-POST-2 or inside a Photoeye Vault. The WEL-200 Wireless Edge Link sends a safety edge signal to the operator without running wire along a moving gate. More beams are under photo beam.
Start with the supply voltage and the connection style of the detector you are replacing. An 11-pin box detector needs a harness or socket, while an operator with a built-in detector port needs a plug-in model like the ULT-PLG. Check the old unit's label and your operator manual before ordering.
