DoorKing 8080-057, 8080-060

DoorKing 8080 photo eyes are retro-reflective UL 325 Type B1 monitored devices. A blocked beam tells the operator to stop, or stop and reverse.

They run on 12 to 24 VAC or VDC, sense up to 35 ft and have a relay output rated 1 A at 24 V. They work with all DoorKing gate operators.

Identify your model

The 8080-057 is the standard photo eye Protec carries. The 8080-060 is the Deluxe version. Both must be wired to the operator's monitored input.

Troubleshooting

Operator will not run

  • Check the photo eye is wired to the operator's monitored entrapment input.
  • Check the green LED. It stays on when the reflector is aligned.

False trips

  • Mount the photo eye vertically, within 5 in of the gate frame, with the reflector straight across.
  • Do not power it from a switched receptacle.
