HySecurity SlideDriver II Manuals & Support

HySecurity SlideDriver II

The HySecurity SlideDriver II is a hydraulic slide gate operator that drives the gate with AdvanceDrive wheels on a drive rail. Models cover gates from 1,500 lb (SD15) to 20,000 lb (SD200V).

It runs on the SmartTouch 725 controller with an OLED display and Bluetooth setup through the HySecurity Installer App. Limits are contactless and the pressure gauge is digital. It replaces the SlideDriver 222 and 444 series.

Identify your model

The model is on the operator label. SlideDriver II models start with SD, for example SD40. Units with a C in the model are Corrections versions with the SmartTouch 720 controller, which has Bluetooth and Ethernet turned off.

Troubleshooting

The SmartTouch 725 shows alerts, faults and errors on the OLED display. The green heartbeat LED turns red when one is active.

SAFE MODE or ENTRAPMENT MODE

  • Safe Mode means an edge or the inherent sensor (IES) tripped. All inputs still work, but the close timer is off until a new command.
  • Entrapment Mode means two IES trips in one cycle. Clear the obstruction and press Stop or Reset, or give an Open command.
  • Check for gate binding, wind load or a bad edge sensor. Adjust IES sensitivity only after the gate moves freely.

NO AC POWER

  • Check the breaker at the panel and the operator circuit breaker.
  • Check the lower rocker switch on the operator.
  • On DC powered units, check that the DC charger relay is wired to input 8 of the I/O Expansion Module.

LOW 24VDC or DEAD BATTERY (UPS)

  • LOW 24VDC shows below 22 V. DEAD BATTERY shows below 21 V and the gate goes to its power fail setting.
  • Check AC power, the battery connections and battery condition. Charger voltage should be 27 VDC at the red and blue battery wires.

No display and the LED blinks

  • The display turns off after 10 minutes of no activity. Press any button.
  • If it stays off, check for a drained battery, a shorted 24 V output or a loose com (HSP) wire between the controller and the I/O Expansion Module or VFD.

Common questions

222 SS ST goes to the SD15, 222 E ST to the SD40, 222 X3 ST to the SD50F, 222 X1 ST to the SD80V, 444 XS ST to the SD200V and 222 CE ST to the SD40 Corrections. For a 222 EX 1.7 ST (30F), the SD50F is the main replacement for fast speed.

Use the OLED display and buttons on the SmartTouch 725, or connect by Bluetooth with the HySecurity Installer App. Corrections models with the SmartTouch 720 have Bluetooth turned off.

Order the 2 hp DC version with the DC Power Supply DCPS-60, or add the 230 VAC AC Power Supply with HyInverter AC. Both are separate items.

It comes with an EMX IRB-MON monitored photo eye and a 5 ft ASO edge sensor. Add more monitored devices for every entrapment zone at your site.

Remove the obstruction, then press Stop or the Reset button below the display, or give an Open command. If it comes back with no obstruction, check for gate binding or wind load.
