Troubleshooting

The MGC Pro shows event, warning and error numbers on its display. These are the common ones.

FF03: monitoring device missing

  • No safety loop or safety light barrier is connected. Connect one, or replace a faulty device.
  • Check the detector sensitivity if vehicles are missed.

FF01 or FF04: barrier mechanics

  • FF01: the first close did not finish. Remove any obstacle and check the balancing spring setting.
  • FF04: the barrier is too fast. Adjust the balancing springs for the boom weight.

FF05 or FF06: boom

  • FF05: the boom contact shows the boom swung away. Reset the boom or mount the arm.
  • FF06: the boom was lifted or stopped when closing. Check that the lever system latches.

FF07 and power codes

  • FF07: running on battery backup. Restore AC power.
  • 3120: short mains outage. Check supply quality.

Common questions

No. The MGC Pro has an integrated two-channel loop detector. You still need the loops in the lane.

Check for FF03 on the display. The barrier needs a safety loop or safety light barrier connected before it runs normally.

It accepts 85 to 264 VAC at 50 to 60 Hz. A 24 VDC version is available.
