Troubleshooting

The 9050 manual has a full troubleshooting table. Start with power and the input LEDs.

Operator will not run

  • Check that power is on and the power LED is lit.
  • Check that the required monitored photo eyes or edges are connected and enabled.
  • Watch the input LEDs. Any that stay on point to a stuck keying device.

Gate stops or reverses

  • Disconnect the gate and check that it rolls freely.
  • Check the chain, chain stops and the clutch or belt.

Loop detector LED stays on

  • Press the reset button on the detector, or lower its sensitivity.
  • Check the loop wire to ground with a megohm meter. It should read 100 megohms or more. Under 50 megohms, replace the loop.
  • The lead-in must be twisted at least 6 turns per foot and all splices soldered.
