Description
The BEA LZR-FLATSCAN-RS is a single right sensor for the LZR-FLATSCAN SW, a single-curtain laser presence sensor for automatic swing doors. It uses Time-of-Flight laser scanning, mounts on the door leaf, and runs on 12-24 VDC. Range is up to 13 ft (diagonal). Color: silver.
It works as a stand-alone safety sensor on full energy and low energy swing doors. The curtain has 170 detection points and covers the full face of one door leaf, including the hinge area. Finger Detection Technology uses 100 of those points in the hinge area while the door moves. The field reaches past the leading edge, and the uncovered zone can be as small as 3/4 in. Setup is by hand gesture or the BEA 10REMOTE. BEA states it exceeds ANSI A156.10 section 8.2.2.3 for detection area and meets section 8.1.4 for monitoring.

- This is one right sensor only. For a left and right pair, see the LZR-FLATSCAN-SWS kit.
- Same sensor comes in black, silver and white. Versions: L / R (single left or right sensor), LEL / LER (low energy, left or right door mount), SW (left and right full energy kit).
- Power: 12-24 VDC. BEA lists 10PS12-24, 10PSMDR2024, 10PSST242 and 10PSVR5T power supplies as accessories.
- Outputs: 2 electronic relays, 42 VAC/VDC max, 100 mA max. Test input for door control monitoring. Housing is IP54.
- Fire rating: BEA lists the UL 10B/C 1-hour fire rating for the black version only. For a fire-rated door, use the black version.
- For glass doors, add the 10LZRFLATSCANGDA Glass Door Accessory. Spacers (70.5751 white, 70.5752 silver, 70.5753 black) and the 20.5433 control harness are sold separately.
