Door Sensors: Motion, Presence and Swing Door Safety

Microwave motion sensors open the door as traffic approaches. The Eagle ARTEK covers standard pedestrian doors, while the Falcon line adds versions for low mounting (FalconXL), wider paths (FalconW) and explosion-proof housings (EX). For industrial doors, the IXIO-DT1 combines motion and presence in one unit and the IXIO-ST handles presence only. Swing doors use LZR-FLATSCAN or the door-mounted LZR-MICROSCAN, sold as single left or right sensors and as kits in black, white or silver. Gates, Barrier Arms and Loop Detection

Matrix loop detectors come in single and dual channel models, with the 1224 suffix for 12 to 24 volt operators and the 110 suffix for 110 volt units. Where cutting a loop is not practical, the EVOLOOP sensor replaces the induction loop on automatic barriers and the LZR-H100 laser scanner covers gates and barriers. Replacing a Discontinued BEA Model

Many older part numbers are still listed with their successor in the title: Eagle to Eagle ARTEK, Wizard G3 to IXIO-DT1, Iris and Iris-I to IXIO-ST, DK-12 to Bodyguard-T, MS08 to MS31 and MS21 to MS41. A newer sensor may need its own bracket or rain cover, so check the accessory list before ordering.

Common Questions

Does BEA make maglocks for door access?

Yes. We carry UL listed 600 lb and 1200 lb BEA maglocks in single and double versions, plus packages that pair a maglock with an exit sensor. Other brands are in magnetic locks.
