Description
The Locinox FORTIMA-SD-R is a magnetic child-safe gate latch for single-leaf pool and park gates, round-post version. It works with a gate-to-post gap from 3/8 in to 1-3/8 in and is supplied with self-drilling screws.
The magnet pulls the latch closed from up to 1-1/4 in away. The latch opens only by lifting the magnet knob, which prevents opening by pushing down. It adjusts fully up and down, and 1 in side to side, and keeps 3/4 in of vertical tolerance after install if the gate sags. The housing is anodized aluminum with powder coated parts. It takes a Schlage C key-in-knob cylinder (5-pin, drilled for 6-pin), so it can be rekeyed to match other locks. Locinox tested it to 2 million cycles.
