Description
The Security Brands 50-100 AutoSense Vehicle Detection Kit pairs the 50-D909LC controller with the 50-P75 probe for vehicle detection at gates. The controller closes a relay when a vehicle passes the buried probe, for free-exit and other gate detection uses. It runs on 11-14 VDC and mounts inside the gate operator.
Relay time is set to about 1 or 6 seconds with a jumper, and a gain knob sets probe sensitivity. The probe is water-tight and has 75 ft of cable. Security Brands rates controller current draw at 15 mA in standby and 35 mA on detect, and lists it as working well with solar setups. The probe goes beside the driveway, so no saw cutting is needed. Controller operating temperature is -15 °F to 158 °F, and the probe is rated -15 °F to 175 °F. Security Brands backs it with a two-year limited warranty.

Before You Order
- Requires 11-14 VDC from the gate operator. Reverse polarity can damage the unit.
- Bury the probe 6 to 12 in deep beside the driveway, parallel to travel, or at least 1 in under concrete or 2 in under asphalt.
- Place the probe at least 25 ft from the edge of the open gate.
