    Choosing a Trine Electric Strike

    Match the Voltage

Voltage is in every Trine title, and it has to match your power supply or controller output. The 001, 002 and 005 run on 8-16VAC or 4-6VDC, the 2001 on 16-24V AC/DC, the 2001C on 6-14V, and the EN400 is offered in 12VDC and 24VDC versions. The 30RS and 30LC mechanisms accept 11-29V AC/DC.

    Fail Safe or Fail Secure

A fail-safe strike releases when power is removed, and a fail-secure strike stays locked. In the 3000 Series, the 30RS is fail safe and the 30LC is fail secure, and the 3024-T is a 24VDC fail-secure strike. Check fire and egress rules for the opening before choosing.

    Strikes by Lock Type

The EN400CMRP works with cylindrical, mortise, deadlatch and rim panic exit devices. The 4800 and 4850 are surface-mount strikes for rim panic devices, the 4800F is a fire rated rim panic strike, and the 4100 is a fire rated strike for cylindrical and mortise locks. Replacement faceplates (234, 258RD, 334) fit existing strike bodies.

    Common Questions

How do I mount a Trine strike on a metal gate?

Use a weldable box. Trine offers the EN400 gate box, and the Keedex K-BXES8 fits the 001 strike. For wiring and controls see access control, or compare Rofu strikes.
