The DoorKing 1473-010 is the replacement Convenience Open board for operators built before 2016. Convenience Open lets the operator open the gate on battery power during an outage.

It replaces the 2340-010 board in the 1600, 1602, 1603, 6100, 6300, 6500, 9150 and 9310.

Identify your model

Use the 1473 manual only on pre-2016 Convenience Open operators. Newer operators use a different backup setup covered in their own manuals.

Troubleshooting

Gate does not open on power loss

Check that the backup toggle switch is ON.
Check the batteries and replace them if they are low.
Check the board switch settings in the 1473 manual, then replace the board if needed.
