DoorKing 1610 Traffic Spikes Manuals & Support

The DoorKing 1610 is a weighted, flush mount, stand-alone traffic spike system. The spikes let traffic pass one way and puncture tires going the wrong way.

Weighted retraction versions are rated 8,000 lb per axle, with lock-down versions available. They are for parking areas and not for roads where traffic moves at full speed.

Identify your model

Part numbers include 1610-081 (8,000 lb weighted retraction) and 1610-083 (with lock-down). A lock-down tool is needed to lower or raise the spikes.

Troubleshooting

Spike problems are usually debris, ice or wear.

Spikes stick up or down

  • Clean dirt and debris from the frame.

Traffic going too fast

  • Install a speed bump and warning signs ahead of the spikes. DoorKing's 1610-150 speed bump is 6 ft long.
