DoorKing eVolve 2160 Manuals & Support

The DoorKing eVolve 2160 is a brushless DC swing gate operator with battery backup. The 2160-380 handles gates up to 18 ft and 1,200 lb, and the 2160-381 up to 22 ft and 1,800 lb.

It runs on 115 or 230 VAC, or 24 VDC, and opens 90 degrees in 10 to 12 seconds. Setup and diagnostics are done on the onboard LCD, with USB backup of the settings.

Identify your model

The 2160-380 has a 500 W (1/2 HP) motor and the 2160-381 a 750 W (1 HP) motor. Both use a harmonic arm and a keyed manual release.

The slide gate version is the eVolve 2170.

Troubleshooting

Use the onboard LCD for diagnostics and the event log before checking wiring.

Operator will not run

  • Check the AC and DC power switches.
  • Check that the required monitored photo eyes or edges are connected and enabled.
  • Read the fault shown on the LCD and check the event log.

Runs on battery only

  • Check the AC input and the AC power switch. The batteries carry the gate during a power loss.

Yes. Two 7.5 Ah batteries are built in.

Yes. The operator will not run until at least one monitored photo eye or edge is connected in each entrapment area. They are not included.
