DoorKing eVolve 2170 Manuals & Support

The DoorKing eVolve 2170 is a brushless DC slide gate operator with battery backup for gates up to 40 ft. The 2170-380 and 382 handle up to 2,300 lb, and the 2170-381 and 383 up to 3,500 lb.

It runs on 115 or 230 VAC, or 24 VDC, with #40 nickel chain at up to 12 in per second. Setup and diagnostics are done on the onboard LCD.

Identify your model

The 2170-380 and 382 have a 500 W (1/2 HP) motor. The 2170-381 and 383 have a 750 W (1 HP) motor.

The swing gate version is the eVolve 2160.

Troubleshooting

Use the onboard LCD for diagnostics and the event log before checking wiring.

Operator will not run

  • Check the AC and DC power switches.
  • Check that the required monitored photo eyes or edges are connected and enabled.
  • Read the fault shown on the LCD and check the event log.

Cold weather

  • DoorKing lists a thermostat-controlled heater kit for cold sites. It is for AC-powered operators only.

Yes. Two 7.5 Ah batteries are built in.

Yes. The operator will not run until at least one monitored photo eye or edge is connected in each entrapment area. They are not included.
