Diablo DSP-6LP

The Diablo DSP-6LP is a low power single channel loop detector. It draws about 1 mA with no vehicle and has no switches to set.

It sets itself to the loop when powered. It is fail-secure, so a failed loop never opens the gate.

Troubleshooting

Detector does not see vehicles

  • Check loop resistance and megger the loop to ground.
  • Check that the lead-in is twisted and the splice is sealed.

Random detects

  • Seal the slot so the wires cannot move.
  • Keep loops at least 3 ft from other loops and moving metal.

No. Use it on free exit loops only.

Not with other DSP-6LP, DSP-7LP or DSP-7 detectors.

Green blinks once a second in normal use, slow for an open loop and fast for a shorted loop. Red shows detect.
