DoorKing 1000

The DoorKing 1000 is an inverter and battery backup system for gate operators. It keeps the operator running on battery when AC power is lost.

Protec lists it for one 1 HP or two 1/2 HP operators. It works only with PSC (permanent split capacitor) motors.

Identify your model

Use the manual for circuit board 2355-010 Rev A or higher. LEDs on the board show battery status.

Troubleshooting

Operator does not run on battery

  • Check the battery status LEDs and the battery connections.
  • Check that the inverter switch is on.

Inverter damaged at start-up

  • Do not use it on motors with start windings. Their start-up draw exceeds the inverter output.

Common questions

Only on operators with a PSC motor. Motors with start windings draw too much at start-up.
