DoorKing 1625 Wedge Barrier Manuals & Support

The DoorKing 1625 is a surface mount vehicle wedge barrier for lanes 12 to 18 ft wide. A wedge plate rises from the roadway to block the lane.

It uses a 1 HP barrier operator with the 1601-010 control board. Traffic speed through the barrier should be kept to 5 mph.

Troubleshooting

Find which part has the problem first: the operator, the loop system or the keying devices. The input LEDs show which inputs are active.

Operator will not run, power LED off

  • Check that power to the operator is on.
  • Check for 115 VAC at board terminals 1 and 2. If it reads 0, check the supply. If it is good, replace the board.

Operator will not run, power LED on

  • On a 1/2 HP 1601, press the reset button on the bottom of the motor. The 1 HP motor has no reset button.
  • Jumper terminals 6 and 14 for a moment. If the input LED does not light, check the terminal strip or replace the board.
  • Test the motor as the manual shows. If it does not run both ways, check the motor, capacitor and wiring.

Arm goes up but will not come down

  • Check the LEDs on terminals 6, 7 and 9. Any that stay on hold the arm up.
  • Check the loop detector LEDs. Any that stay on hold the arm up.
  • If the auto timer is off, check that SW 1, switch 6 is ON. For the down loop, check that SW 1, switch 4 is ON.
