LiftMaster 811LM / 890MAX / 891LM / 892LT / 893LM / 893MAX / 894LT

LiftMaster Security+ 2.0 remotes run LiftMaster gate operators, commercial receivers and garage door openers. Each press sends an encrypted rolling code.

The 811LM is a DIP switch remote for sites that share one code. The MAX remotes also work with older 315 and 390 MHz openers. The LT remotes are learning remotes.

Identify your model

811LM: 1 button, DIP switch. 891LM and 893LM: 1 and 3 buttons, Security+ 2.0 only. 892LT and 894LT: 2 and 4 button learning remotes that can copy an 811LM code. 890MAX: 3 button keychain. 893MAX: 3 button visor, multi code.

Troubleshooting

Remote does not work

Check the battery and the LED on the remote.
Program the remote to the receiver again.
Check that the remote and the receiver use the same radio type.

Short range

Move the antenna away from metal and mount it high.
Check for a weak battery.
