Description
The Banner Engineering QS30 is a universal-voltage through-beam (opposed mode) photoelectric sensor pair. Range is up to 60 m (200 ft). It runs on 24-250 VAC (50/60 Hz) or 12-250 VDC, so one model covers most gate, door and car wash control power. The emitter uses an 875 nm infrared beam.
The receiver has an SPDT electromechanical relay output rated 5 A at 250 VAC or 30 VDC. Response time is 15 ms. The housing is rated IEC IP67 and NEMA 6 for wet and washdown locations. Operating temperature is -4°F to 158°F (-20°C to +70°C).

- Banner states the QS30 is not a personnel safety device. It has no self-checking circuitry and is not a UL 325 monitored entrapment sensor.
- Wire the receiver relay to the operator's photo eye or reverse input.
- Mount the emitter and receiver facing each other across the opening.
