Description

SureClose 108SF center mount hydraulic hinge-closer with Final Snap for aluminum gates, including pool and child safety gates. Self-closes gates up to 260 lb with two 108 hinge-closers, or up to 180 lb with one 108 and one SM hinge.

The hydraulic closer is hidden inside the hinge body. Final Snap speeds up the last few degrees of closing so the gate pulls into a latch or an electric or keypad lock. Closing speed and Final Snap are set separately with the supplied adjustment tool. Opens to 90° and self-closes from 90°. No hold-open. Aluminum parts are anodized to 50 microns. Tested to 500,000 cycles. 5-year warranty.

Before You Order

• Post mounting bracket is sold separately: SureClose 7511 or 7512 aluminum post bracket (screw-on, 2½ in minimum post, max swing 90°).
• Gap between gate frame and post: 2½ to 3 in.
• Use two 108 hinge-closers per gate for gates up to 260 lb, or one 108 with one 75001113 SM hinge for gates up to 180 lb.
• Ratings are based on a gate up to 72 in high x 40 in wide. For larger gates or windy sites, use a higher-rated combination.
• Fasteners are not included. Pre-drill the aluminum gate bracket with a 5 mm bit and fix with #14 countersunk through-bolts or screws.
• Do not let the gate open past 90°. Fit a gate stop.
• Mount the hinges at least 36 in apart.
• SF models (5 dimples on the end cap) are the only SureClose versions for pool and child safety gates. Confirm your local pool barrier code before installing.
