Description
SureClose SM center mount non-self-closing hinge for aluminum gates. Use it with a SureClose 57 or 108 hinge-closer as the second hinge, or in pairs on gates that do not need to self-close.
Extra-large hinge pin and dual thrust bearings. SM hinge combinations carry a 1,500 lb point load. Swings to 90° on center mount post brackets. Aluminum parts are anodized to 50 microns. Tested to 500,000 cycles. 5-year warranty.

Before You Order
- Post mounting bracket is sold separately: SureClose 7511 or 7512 aluminum post bracket (screw-on, 2½ in minimum post, max swing 90°).
- Gap between gate frame and post: 2½ to 3 in.
- Paired with one 108 hinge-closer: self-closes gates up to 180 lb. Paired with one 57 hinge-closer: up to 90 lb.
- Ratings are based on a gate up to 72 in high x 40 in wide. For larger gates or windy sites, use a higher-rated combination.
- Fasteners are not included. Pre-drill the aluminum gate bracket with a 5 mm bit and fix with #14 countersunk through-bolts or screws.
