Description
The DAC 6500-B is a 24 in tall adjustable mounting plate for panic exit hardware on pedestrian gates. It is the Standard plate in this series (DAC catalogs it as the 24 in Basic plate). It is undrilled, with no holes for a bar or lock box. The plate is 16 gauge steel with a black powder coat finish and adjusts to fit gates 29 in to 52 in wide.
Drill the plate on site to the bar and trim template supplied by the exit device maker. DAC lists it for its own panic bars used without a lock box, and it also works with other brands of panic bars, with or without outside entry trim. Stainless steel mounting screws are included.

Before You Order
- Gate width: 29 in to 52 in (31 in minimum with a lock box). For gates up to 74 in wide, add a 6800 24 in extension plate.
- Fits square or round gate frames.
- Not drilled for a lock box. For a DAC 6000 bar with lock box, use the 6600 Deluxe plate. For a Detex V40 or 40 Series bar with lock box, use the 6700 Superior plate.
- DAC lists the 6026 lock box (no tabs) for adding a lock box to an existing 6500 plate.
- Panic bar, lock box, key cylinder, and outside handle are sold separately.
