Description
The Linear eMerge Elite-36 EL36-4MP is a 4-door, 8-reader access control controller in a midsize metal power distribution cabinet with key lock. It is a browser-based network appliance with an embedded Linux operating system and built-in web server, so the system is set up and run from any web browser. Linear rates it for up to 20,000 cardholders and 80,000 cards.
The Elite-36 license covers up to 36 doors and 72 readers. Doors past the first 4 are added with EXN expansion nodes. License upgrades (EL-U64, then EL-U96 and EL-U128) raise the system to 64, 96 and 128 doors, up to 256 readers. The power distribution system has 4 auxiliary outputs, each selectable for 12 or 24 VDC (upgradeable to 8 with Linear's power distribution upgrade kit), 2 controller power outputs, resettable PTC fuses, a battery charging output for up to two 7 Ah batteries, a fire release input that releases all access doors on fire alarm, and AC fail and low battery notification. A quick-start wizard handles first setup, and the software includes an ODBC-compliant MySQL database with API. Integrated tamper switch. Optional PoE with the E3-POE module. UL 294.

- Batteries are not included. The fire release input ties to the building fire alarm system.
- Card readers, credentials, locks, door contacts and request-to-exit devices are not included.
- To add doors, order EXN expansion nodes: EXN-2C or EXN-4C (compact plastic) and EXN-2M or EXN-4M (metal).
- Same controller in a midsize metal enclosure without power distribution: EL36-4M; in a compact plastic enclosure: EL36-4C.
- Already have an eMerge Essential? The ES-U36 license upgrades it to Elite-36.
