Description
The Linear AP-5 (part ACP00953) is a wireless access controller for one or two doors or gates. It can run door strikes, mag-locks, barrier gates, automatic gates or door operators. A built-in high-gain superheterodyne receiver on 318 MHz reaches up to 500 ft with an external antenna. It runs on 12-24 V AC or DC, 250 mA max.
It stores up to 480 Linear MegaCode transmitters, up to 238 transmitter blocks and up to six MGT supervised safety edge transmitters, with memory kept without power. Three Form C dry-contact relays rated 1 A each handle access, access or obstacle, and obstacle. Relays work timed or latch-on/latch-off, and the toggle state survives a power loss. OPEN REQUEST terminals take a pushbutton or key switch. If an MGT reports a fault, it beeps every 5 seconds. Size is 4.5 in W x 6 in H x 1.5 in D; operating range is -22 to 158 °F.
Before You Order
- Works with Linear MegaCode transmitters and MDKP or MDTK keypads.
- Supervised safety edge monitoring needs the Linear MGT gate safety edge transmitter, sold separately.
- Mount it out of the weather, or inside a metal cabinet with an external antenna (Linear EXA-1000 or EXA-2000).
- Does not work with Linear Multi-Code or Delta-3 DIP switch receivers.
- Timed or latch-on/latch-off relay toggle operation
- Relay toggle state is maintained even after power interruption
- For entrapment detection, obstacle relays activate from MGT safety edge transmitters and connect to the obstacle input of the access device.
- OPEN REQUEST input terminals are supplied for hardwired activation of the access devices with an external pushbutton or key switch.
- The AP-5 monitors each MGT safety edge transmitter for hourly status reports, tamper signals, and low battery signals.
