Description
The DoorKing DKGL-S12-1 is a magnetic gate lock with 1,200 lb (544 kg) holding force. It runs on 12 or 24 VDC and mounts on the top, bottom or face of the gate.
Built-in electrical enclosure with predrilled and tapped conduit holes. Quick release button on the armature. The lock holds when powered and releases when power is removed, so it wires through the normally closed output of the access control device or gate operator.
Before You Order
- DoorKing lists the lock bracket (B01-GL12) and armature bracket (B02-GL12) separately for the DKGL-S12-1. The 1216-080 kit includes the lock with predrilled, tapped weld-on brackets.
- Version with lock status signal relay: DKGL-S12-1L. 600 lb face mount version: DKGL-S6-1.
- Needs a DC power supply: DoorKing 1812-018 (12 VDC, 1 A) or 1812-136 (24 VDC, 1 A). Polarity matters.
- Power wire runs: 18 AWG up to 100 ft, 16 AWG up to 200 ft.
- Holding force is reached only when the armature seats flush on the lock with the gate closed.

Our return policy lasts for only 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund. Some items such as Gate Operators or custom parts may not be returnable or carry a restocking fee if returned.
