Description
EMX CarSense 101 (CS-101) vehicle motion detector. It is the control module for the CarSense in-ground probe. It plugs into a standard 11-pin (86CP11) socket and runs on 9 to 41 VDC or 6 to 29 VAC. Use it as a free exit detector for gates, overhead doors and parking barriers, or to trigger warning lights, alarms or cameras when a vehicle moves along a drive.
The CS-101 detects moving vehicles only. It is not a presence detector. Detection range is roughly a 15 ft diameter around the probe and changes with vehicle size and speed. Output is a DPDT relay rated 1 A at 24 VDC and 120 VAC. Front panel controls set sensitivity (high/low plus a continuous adjustment) and an off delay of 1 to 5 seconds. A green LED shows power and a red LED shows detect. Standby draw is 2.5 mA max and detect draw is 50 mA max, so EMX lists it for solar power applications. Warranty is 2 years from EMX.
Before You Order
- The probe is sold separately. Order the CarSense in-ground probe in the lead length you need (50 ft, 100 ft, 150 ft or 200 ft).
- Needs an 11-pin (86CP11) detector socket on the operator or control board, or a separate 11-pin socket base.
- Power: 9 to 41 VDC or 6 to 29 VAC.
- Motion detection only. For vehicle presence on a stopped vehicle, use a loop detector or the EMX LRS.
