FAAC 390 Manuals & Support

FAAC 390

The FAAC 390 is a 24 VDC articulated arm swing gate operator for residential gates up to 14 ft and 600 lb per leaf. It mounts on large columns with no changes to the gate.

The gearbox is non-reversing, so no external lock is needed on most gates. It runs on the E024U control board with reverse on contact and battery backup.

Troubleshooting

The E024U board has an ERROR LED for troubleshooting and a SETUP button for automatic setup.

Gate stops and will not take commands

  • After repeated obstructions the board goes into alarm mode. Activate the STOP input or cycle power to reset it.

Gate reverses or stops short

  • Check the gate swings freely by hand.
  • Readjust the force and obstacle sensitivity trimmers, then run SETUP again.

Photocells

  • Check photocell wiring against the board diagram for normally closed contacts.
  • Set SW 8 for the closing safety behavior you want.

Long gates

  • FAAC recommends an electric or magnetic lock for any gate longer than 12 ft.
