Linear AE-100 Manuals & Support

The Linear AE-100 is a one-door commercial telephone entry system for small apartments and gated communities with up to 125 residents. It works in a lobby or outside, surface, recessed or on a pedestal.

Visitors scroll the two-line backlit directory and call residents hands free. The heavy duty relay is rated 10 A AC, and the system is programmed from the keypad or a touch-tone phone.

The AE-100 has a stainless steel faced cabinet, a lighted 12-key keypad, four operation buttons and a two-line LCD directory. A TTY jack on the front serves the hearing impaired.

Troubleshooting

Check power and the phone line first. Most other problems are programming settings.

System completely dead

Check voltage at the transformer and at the power terminals.
Check that the terminal blocks are plugged firmly into the board.

Buzz on the speaker or phone line

Check for AC power shorted to the wiring conduit and for the phone line shorted to ground.
Use twisted pair phone wire and connect the cabinet to earth ground.
Remove the 16 VAC wires. If the buzz stops, one transformer wire is grounded.
