Linear EntryPro EP-436, EP-736 and EP-402 Manuals & Support

Linear EP-436

The Linear EntryPro series is a browser-managed telephone entry and access control system for residential and commercial sites. The EP-436 is ready for 36 doors and upgrades to 64 doors with a license key.

Each module has two doors on board and four form C relays. The system holds up to 10,000 users and 120,000 cards and keeps a 50,000 event log. The EP-736 adds a 7 in touch screen and the EP-402 is a two-door standalone model.

Troubleshooting

Do the first IP setup with a laptop connected straight to the EntryPro CPU, not on the network. Get a static IP, subnet, gateway and DNS from the site IT administrator first.

Reading the I/O board LEDs

  • INVALID CARD: the card data was not a valid string.
  • ACCESS DENIED: the card was read but the user is not allowed.
  • COMMUNICATIONS ERROR: a network error between modules.
  • READER POWER: power is reaching the reader.

Older Linear systems

  • AE-1000, AE1000Plus, AE-2000 and AE2000Plus systems do not network with EntryPro units. Plan a full change-over.
