Ditek LVLP Low Voltage Surge Protectors Manuals & Support

Ditek DTK-2LVLPLV / DTK-4LVLPLV / DTK-4LVLPCR / DTK-2LVLPF

Ditek LVLP surge protectors guard low voltage loop, data and card reader wiring from surges. They wire in series but act in parallel, so they add no resistance.

Field wiring lands on IN and the equipment on OUT. A good ground is what makes them work.

Troubleshooting

Equipment still fails after storms

  • Check the ground. It should be 25 ohms or less.
  • Keep at least 3 ft of wire between the protector and the equipment.

Circuit stops working after install

  • Check that field wiring is on IN and equipment on OUT.
  • Check that the protector voltage matches the circuit.

Common questions

Use 14 AWG or larger wire to a ground of 25 ohms or less. 5 ohms or less is best.
