LiftMaster SL3000UL Manuals & Support

LiftMaster SL3000UL

The LiftMaster SL3000UL is an AC slide gate operator for high-traffic commercial gates up to 50 ft. The 1/2 HP model handles 1,000 lb and the 1 HP model handles 2,000 lb, at 12 in per second.

A continuous-duty motor with Class H insulation drives #41 chain through a 30:1 oil-bath worm gear. It has mechanical limits, Security+ 2.0 radio, myQ and 6 monitored safety inputs.

Identify your model

The model is on the label inside the cover. SL3000501UL is 1/2 HP and SL3000101UL is 1 HP. Units built before the 2016 UL change use the earlier owner's manual below.

Troubleshooting

To see codes, press and hold STOP, then CLOSE, then OPEN until "Er" shows on the diagnostic display. The display shows each saved code in order, starting with the most recent (01), up to 20 codes. Press STOP to exit.

Safety device codes

  • 60: the minimum monitored devices are not installed. A slide gate needs one external device in the close direction and one in the open direction.
  • 61 to 66: a photo eye or edge was held more than 3 minutes. Check alignment, wiring and obstructions.
  • 70 to 75: a photo eye or edge tripped and reversed the gate. If nothing was in the way, check alignment, inputs and wiring.

Travel and motor codes

  • 35: max run time exceeded. Check for an obstruction, then reprogram the limits.
  • 50: run distance error. Check the limit positions and that the switches work.
  • 91: force reversal. Check that the gate moves freely, then recheck the force setting.
  • 93: RPM or stall reversal. Check the operator wiring and the APE encoder assembly.
  • 95: AC motor did not start. Check the motor, the relay board and the start capacitor connections.

Power and board codes

  • 31: board failure. Remove all power for 15 seconds, then reconnect. Replace the board if it comes back.
  • 47 or 59: power board fault or missing power board. Check the harness and the power board.
  • 53, 55 or 56: brownout, AC overvoltage or AC undervoltage. Check supply voltage and wire gauge to the operator.
  • 57 or 58: limit switch stuck or wrong switch. Check the limit switches and motor wiring.

Loop and dual gate codes

  • 43 to 45: exit, shadow or interrupt loop error on a LiftMaster plug-in detector. Check the loop for a short or open.
  • 54: lost wireless link to the second operator. Check its power, then relearn the second operator.

Common questions

It needs at least one monitored external device in the close direction and one in the open direction. Use LiftMaster monitored photo eyes or edges, such as the LMRRUL, LMTBUL or S505AL. Code 60 shows on the display until they are connected.

Press and hold STOP, then CLOSE, then OPEN until "Er" shows. Use OPEN and CLOSE to scroll through the last 20 codes, and press STOP to exit.

It has a Security+ 2.0 three-channel receiver for up to 50 remotes, such as the 811LM and 893MAX. Use the 811LMX or 813LMX for unlimited remotes.

Yes. The G6518SL heater kit extends the low temperature rating to -40 °F.
