Description
Discontinued by EMX. The IRB-4X2 is the updated version. The IRB-4X was a thru-beam infrared photoeye kit with a range of up to 115 ft, powered by 12-24 VDC or VAC, used as a safety, reversing or opening input on automatic operators.
The IRB-4X has a Form C relay output (NO, COM, NC) rated 1 A at 24 VDC or 120 VAC and works with any control board that accepts a dry contact input. It uses a lens-less design with an electronic sunlight filter in a NEMA 4X housing rated for -40° to 170°F. Each unit measures 2.3 x 2.6 x 3.7 in. The kit came with a transmitter, receiver, protective hoods and a sunshield.
Before You Order
- The IRB-4X2 keeps the 115 ft range, the dry contact Form C relay rated 1 A at 24 VDC or 120 VAC, and the -40° to 170°F rating.
- Power changes: the IRB-4X2 is rated 12-24 VDC or 24 VAC. It is not rated for 12 VAC, which the IRB-4X accepted.
- The IRB-4X2 housing is larger (3.6 x 2.9 x 2.9 in), has an integrated hood and is IP65 rated. Check your mounting holes and hood when swapping.
- Neither the IRB-4X nor the IRB-4X2 is UL 325 compliant. Use a monitored eye such as the IRB-MON2 where the operator needs one.

Our return policy lasts for only 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund. Some items such as Gate Operators or custom parts may not be returnable or carry a restocking fee if returned.
