Description
EMX LRS (Loop Replacement System) vehicle presence detector. This listing is the system: LRS-C1 controller plus one LRS sensor. Choose the Sawcut Flat Pack (LRS-FP) or Direct Burial (LRS-DB) sensor, with a 50 ft or 100 ft lead. The sensor uses 3-axis magnetoresistive sensing to detect a vehicle by its effect on the earth's magnetic field, so it replaces a saw-cut loop with a single saw cut or a buried probe. Controller power is 12 to 30 VDC or 24 VAC.
Detection range is about 5 ft from the sensor and it detects ferrous vehicles, not pedestrians. Sensitivity has 10 levels, and the X, Y and Z axes can be selected independently. The sensor tracks the background magnetic field and keeps its settings in non-volatile memory. DETECT-ON-STOP only detects once a vehicle has stopped, typically 1 to 2 seconds, which helps ignore cross traffic. The controller has an SPDT relay rated 1 A at 24 VDC to 120 VAC and an NPN open collector output. It draws 40 mA max. Sensors are IP69K rated. Warranty is 2 years from EMX. LRS replaces the discontinued CarSense 303.

Before You Order
- Power: 12 to 30 VDC or 24 VAC.
- Flat Pack goes in a single saw cut. Direct Burial goes in the ground and can also be strapped to a wall above grade with plastic conduit straps.
- The controller wires to 10-position screw terminals. Check your operator for a dry contact or open collector input.
