Description
EMX MRD-1P single-sided radar presence sensor for barrier arm operators. It detects people and vehicles in the path of the arm over a programmable range of 1 to 30 ft. Power is 6 to 40 VDC or 12 to 24 VAC.
Response time is 30 ms. Measurement resolution is down to 0.04 in (1 mm). The beam is a cone, about 2.5 ft wide at 15 ft and 4.75 ft wide at 30 ft. Rain, snow, ice, fog and sunlight do not affect it. Relay 1 is a Form C presence relay rated 2.0 A max. Relay 2 is a Form C pulse relay rated 0.7 A max, set for pulse on entry, pulse on exit or off, with adjustable hold and pulse times. Setup is through push buttons and a 3-digit display. Wiring goes to a detachable screw terminal block. Draw is 40 mA max at 24 VDC. The NEMA 4X housing is 5.1 in x 3.15 in x 5.5 in. Operating range is -40°F to 140°F. Warranty is 2 years from EMX.

Before You Order

- Mounts on a pole, square tube or wall, 22 to 28 in high. Place it under the arm, before it or after it.
- Check the barrier operator manual for the input to wire the presence and pulse relays to.
