Description
EMX VMD202 vehicle motion detector. It is a self-contained in-ground probe that detects a moving ferrous vehicle and switches a relay, with no separate detector module. Use it as a free exit or vehicle alert probe. Power is 9 to 41 VDC or 6 to 29 VAC through the probe cable. Choose a 50 ft or 100 ft lead.
Range is up to 12 ft at 5 mph minimum vehicle speed and changes with vehicle size and speed. It detects motion only. It is not a presence detector. Output is a Form C (SPDT) relay rated 1 A at 24 VDC and 1 A at 120 VAC, with a 5 second output. The probe is 1 in x 24 in in PVC on a 5-wire direct burial cable. Settings are held in non-volatile memory. Operating range is -40°F to 180°F. Warranty is 2 years from EMX.
Before You Order
- The VMD202-R sensitivity remote is sold separately. It sets 10 sensitivity levels and can be removed after setup with the bypass jumper installed.
- Power: 9 to 41 VDC or 6 to 29 VAC.
- EMX calls for burying the probe 8 to 12 in deep, or 24 in deep where foot traffic is heavy.
- The lead can be shortened, or spliced with a waterproof splice kit.
